From City Hall: (l)City Hall will be closed Monday, September 5, for Labor Day. (2) A new brush pile location is being worked on. There is NO place open right now. The old place at the south end of town is private property-Please stop dumping brush there. (3) Water meters will start being installed September 19 and there will be people on your property to do that. The new meters will catch seepage and result in more exact readings.

(1)Porter Trash Service has raised their rates. Starting in August, the trash rate for residential will be $20.00 Dumpsters will be $80. Housing will increase to $130. Poly Carts will increase to $7.00 (2) City Hall will be closed August 2 for the election and August 9 for training.
