Sewer, water, and rural rates increase

Starting March 1, sewer rates will be increased to $35 for the base amount and water rates will be increased to $44 for the base amount. Rural water has raised their rates to the city and we have to keep with that price, unfortunately.

Jop Opening- Water Technician

The city of Skidmore has a full time Water Technician position available immediately. Requires experience with water/wastewater facilities, water sampling and testing, water meter installation and repairs, mowing  and shoveling snow as needed, and other duties assigned. Must have experience using a tractor and mini excavator, knowledge of street maintenance, and be proficient using a computer. his job will require working outside in extreme conditions and pay will be based on experience. Preference will be given to anyone with certifications in water/wastewater treatment.

City-Wide cleanup will be April 26 – May 2 with dumpsters at the north edge of town. There may be a tire collection also.
