Gift Card Raffle

The Skidmore United Methodist Church is holding a $500 HyVee gift card raffle October 25-November 21. The drawing will be Nov. 21-don’t need to be present to win. Tickets may be purchased from church members for $10 each. This is their only fundraiser for the year.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat will be Oct 30 from 6-7:00pm at the ballpark in Skidmore. Everyone is welcome to participate. You may use the electric hookups to decorate.

Hot Dog Roast

The Skidmore Volunteer Fire District will be hosting a hot dog roast on Halloween, Oct. 31, starting at 5 :0Opm at the Fire House.

Candy at City Hall

City Hall will pass out candy Halloween night. If you want added to a trick or treat list/map for the city, contact City Hall by Oct 29th. Paper maps and a Facebook list will be made up.

Graham Fish Fry

Graham Fish Fry dinners will be Nov 6, Dec 4, Jan 1, Feb 5, March 5, and April 2. They will be from 4:30-7:00 pm. Adults $12, under 12 years old $5.00.

Skidmore City Council Meeting

Will meet on November 11 at 6:00pm at Newton Hall.

Skidmore Community Betterment Meeting

Will not meet in November.

Fresh Food Mobile Drop

November 23 at the park starting at 10:00am until the food runs out. The line begins forming at least 30 minutes ahead of the start time.

City Hall Closed for Thanksgiving

City Hall will be closed for Thanksgiving Nov 25 and 26.

City Hall

City Hall is open Monday 8-12, Wednesday 8-12 and 2-6, and Friday 8-12. There is an answering machine also. 660-928-3281. Calls will be returned only if you leave a message.

Sunshine Law training will be December 2 at 5:30pm in Newton Hall. It is open to all. Bring your own supper, drink, pen, and paper.
