Community Betterment Bake Sale, Feb 14th at Graham Lions Building

lf you didn’t get a call and would like to donate baked goods, please leave them at Newton Hall before 3 p.m. the 14th. Funds will be used to purchase cement and rubber mulch for the playground areas.

A planning meeting will be held in late March to discuss building the playground set.

Meet the Candidates for April Election

TERESA CARTER has been on City  Council five years and has filed for her second term as mayor. “It has definitely been a learning process and I want to see the wastewater plant upgrade to completion,” she said.

JAMES DUNCAN served last year on the council. He said, “l want to help better the community and to erase Skidmore’s negative image. An Army veteran, he has spent 25 years in law enforcement and corrections. He has 9 children and 9 grandchildren
